Precautions for starting and stopping equipment during holidays
SNSTC 2025-01-24
During the holiday period, we recommend that you set your equipment to a power-off state in order to avoid potential risks that may arise during unattended periods. Please pay attention to the following precautions:
1. Machine Cleaning: Clean both the interior and exterior of the machine, including the sheet metal, electrical control box air conditioning, and filters. Also, check and clean the spindle taper hole.
2. Function Check: Check all machine functions, including pneumatics, lubrication, hydraulics, and cooling systems.
3. Rust Prevention: Apply rust prevention measures to the work table, fixtures, and spindle. Use rust-proof oil and grease during machine operation.
4. Ensure Safe Shutdown: Ensure that all axes are in a safe position when powering off the machine.
5. Emergency Stop Button: Make sure the emergency stop button is correctly pressed.
6. After Shutdown: Verify that auxiliary equipment such as the water cooler and dust collector are properly shut off. For water coolers, ensure low-temperature protection to prevent pipe cracks.
7. Temperature Control: Even if the indoor air conditioning is turned off, ensure that the space where the equipment is located maintains a temperature above freezing.
8. Protection Measures: Implement rain and moisture protection. Inspect the area around the machine, close the electrical control box door, and seal the power box’s incoming cable openings to prevent water and moisture intrusion.
After the Holiday - Re-starting Equipment,When you restart the factory after the holidays, follow these recommendations to minimize the chances of unnecessary failures:
1. Startup Process: During startup, pay close attention to the information displayed on the screen, particularly any red alerts. If any abnormalities are detected, take photos and contact the GIVEAL support team promptly.
2. Compressed Air Check: Check the air source lines for normal operation, ensure air pressure is sufficient, and confirm the air source is dry.
3. Electrical Line Check: Inspect the electrical cabinet for loose or damaged cables, plugs, or terminals.
4. Power Voltage Check: Before starting the machine, verify the power voltage is stable. Do not turn on the machine until the voltage has stabilized. Check the grid voltage, including phase sequence and missing phases, and ensure terminal connections are secure.
5. Machine Condition Check: After normal startup, check for any interference between the axes and fixtures. It’s recommended to reference the coordinate axes, perform a warm-up run, and ensure all axes are properly lubricated. Run the program in idle mode to ensure all functions operate correctly.
6. Low Room Temperature Consideration: If the room temperature is low, the laser might be damaged due to low working temperatures. Additionally, starting the equipment in a cold environment may result in significant machining reference errors. Please first activate the factory’s heating system, maintain a room temperature above 20°C for 4-8 hours, and allow the machine to warm up adequately before performing precision processing.
7. Warm-up Time: For the first startup after a power shutdown, perform at least 30 minutes of warm-up operation to fully lubricate all moving parts.
8. Lubricant and Coolant Check: Inspect the condition of lubricants and coolants. If any significant degradation is observed, replace them all.
9. Check Auxiliary Equipment: Ensure the dust collector and water cooler are working properly. Replace any components if air or water leaks are found in the system.
Lastly, we wish you a pleasant holiday and a successful start to the new year. May 2025 bring you great success and prosperity!
